How do I set up Fishman TriplePlay with MidiTabs?

Boot TriplePlay in Hardware Mono mode: hold Up on the D-pad while turning on the device, release after 3 seconds, press Up twice, then play the 1st string (E). If prompted again after disconnecting or restarting the app, play the 1st E string.

How do I set up Jamstik with MidiTabs?

Run your Jamstik in MPE mode. Power on the guitar, then double-tap the power button to toggle between MPE mode and polyphonic mode.

Hardware setup

Quick setup guides for popular MIDI guitar controllers.

Fishman TriplePlay

Boot TriplePlay in Hardware Mono mode for per-string tab capture:

Hold Up on the D-pad while turning on TriplePlay.
Release the button after 3 seconds, then press Up twice.
Play the 1st string (E) to complete the process.

If you are prompted to boot in Hardware Mode again after disconnecting TriplePlay from MidiTabs or restarting the app, play the 1st E string.

Jamstik

Run your Jamstik in MPE mode so each string sends on its own MIDI channel.

Power on your Jamstik guitar, then double-tap the power button to toggle between MPE mode and polyphonic mode.

Roland GR-55

In SYSTEM → MIDI/USB → GTR-MIDI, turn Guitar to MIDI on so note data is sent over USB or DIN.

If you change the GR-55 from one channel to multi-channel (or the reverse), disconnect and connect again so the 16-note analysis runs again.
